Spring is in the air…. ok, not really, but I am just trying to wish it upon us! But, it is almost time for wedding season. Weddings are such a special day for me. It is always such an honor to be a part of a brides special day. It’s a dream you have dreamed since you were a little girl. It’s so important as a makeup professional, that I can do everything in my power to make you feel beautiful, relaxed and just have a good time. Whether you decide to contact me, or another makeup professional, it is always important to look at all aspects of the artist and how they conduct their business. On this most important day, you want to make sure that you hire a professional. Someone who is doing this because they love it, as their career, not just a weekend hobby. Ask the artist about the products they use, how long have they been doing business, do they have a website, what about a business Facebook page? You want a partner on your special day that is going to help guide you. Weddings are expensive, you a spending a great deal of money on your dress, venue, catering, and photography. Let’s also not forget the important engagement photography session, as well as bridal portraits. Make sure that when the camera clicks, you know that when you look back on this special occasion, you will love how you look. With over twelve years in the beauty industry, and countless faces, I always strive to enhance each clients natural beauty, creating the best version of you!

I was so excited when Lauri Smith, owner and photographer of McKenzie Chase Photography contacted me about doing hair and makeup on her lovely daughter Rachel, for a few senior pictures! Rachel is a senior cheerleader at Prestonwood Christian Academy, and had some reservations about her mom being behind the lens, but as you can see, her pictures are to die for! Rachel and a clicked immediately, and I can’t wait to do her makeup again for her senior prom! Congratulations Rachel, and ROLL TIDE!!

I had the pleasure of meeting Dawn Attebery, photographer and owner of Studio You Portraits quite some time ago. We have gotten the pleasure of working together several times, and her work is well…. just amazingly beautiful! I really love the softness and artiness (is that even a word??), that is in each of her pictures. Stay tuned to see much more from Dawn in the future!!

Summer is almost over!! Yes, I am counting down the days, because fall is my favorite season of the year. The clothes, Friday night high school football games, the holidays, the weather, I could just go on and on. Summer has been fairly quiet this year, which has been a nice break for me. I’ve done a little makeup here and there, and I thought you would like to see what I have been up to. I’m so excited about fall and those 2014 seniors, brides, homecoming and prom events coming up!!! I’ve been looking a new products to kick of the season with, and I can’t wait to begin using them. Have a great rest of the summer, enjoy those lazy days 🙂

When Misti with Pink Fly Photography contacted me about doing makeup for Kelly’s senior photos, I was so excited. I’ve know Kelly now for about four years, as she and my daughter danced together. It’s always so special to me when I have an opportunity to do makeup for a girl that I know (sniff, sniff). I love her classic style, she puts off a very retro feel to me, don’t you think?

Everyone meet Ryan!! Ryan has the most gorgeous skin and hair, I was so jealous while working on her. I was also a little obsessed with her outfits she choose. That coral dress was just amazing, and I love it when my girls have fun pops of color in their wardrobe. Don’t be afraid of fun colors in your clothes or makeup ladies, it helps brighten things up.

Yes, I am shamefully behind on updating my blog….. it’s sad, I know. But, I am making progress. Well, for those of you who don’t remember, on Christmas day in Dallas, we had a white Christmas. It was beautiful and magical. It was such a great time to have my girls home. So when the next day, my buddy Misti, with Pink Fly Photography (who is also my neighbor), called me up to see if I was up for doing a winter wonderland shoot, I jump. My daughter Brittany was home from College Station, and was more than willing to be our model for the day. The freezing cold, ice and snow couldn’t keep us down, as we trecked out into the wilderness to get these awesome shots for you!!

Working with Ashton was so much fun! She has the most amazing blue eyes, and hair to die for!! I was so excited to be a part of her senior session and do both her hair and makeup. She’s a very fun girl, with great style! This all American Cheerleader knows what she likes, and we had a great time together making it happen. Go ahead, it’s ok to stare.
